Together we can lower them
One of the best ways to lower our death rates due to cancer is by knowing how to spot the signs and symptoms of the cancers that affect our region the most.
The more people in our region who know what to look out for, the better chance someone has of getting an earlier diagnosis and therefore a better outcome.
Early diagnosis can save lives
Not only does cancer affect the person diagnosed with it, but it also impacts the lives of the friends and family around them.
That's why in true Northern spirit, we need everyone to come together and learn what to look out for, share the information with loved ones, and speak up if you think someone you know may not be aware that their symptoms could be cancer.
Some cancers affect our region more than others
Unfortunately, people in our area are more likely to die from the following cancers.
That's why it's so important to know what to look out for. Chances are it's probably nothing, but you should speak to your GP just to be sure.
Your donations help us lower our cancer rates
North West Cancer Research is dedicated to putting our region’s cancer needs first.
With your donations, we can fund life-saving research and help educate people like you and your loved ones on the signs and symptoms to look out for because an early diagnosis can lead to better outcomes.
Always listen to your body, and your loved ones if they recommend you get something checked. If people are telling you about their symptoms and you think it could be cancer, encourage them to see a GP.
