Cancer Education in the Workplace
From campaigns aimed at outdoor workers to workshops in the office or lab tours, keeping our community educated on cancer risk factors and symptoms is an important part of our work.
We can devise bespoke presentations and information based on cancer prevention, education, and early diagnosis.
We deliver a range of informative talks, experiments, and demonstrations centred around the science behind cancer, including:
- What cancer is, how it develops, and what to look out for
- Gender-specific cancers, including the signs and symptoms
- A deeper dive into the cancers most affecting us here in our region
- The dangers of smoking, vaping and alcohol abuse, including short and long term damage and health issues
- Sun safety and UV protection, including the dangers of sun exposure and tanning beds, as well as demos with our high-tech UV camera
- Hands-on experiments extracting DNA from strawberries, to bring our research to life
- Bespoke days focusing on any specific cancers and wellness issues that are important to your team
