Applications could be in the area of discovery science, translational research, applied work, patient experience, inequalities, or other areas relevant to the region’s cancer needs.
This funding round accepts proposals up to £500,000 and up to five years in duration. Applications are encouraged in the following categories:
- Lectureships
- Fellowships
- Other Posts and Structures
- Centres and/or Partnerships
Applications must be discussed with the CEO or North West Cancer Research Research Team prior to submission ([email protected]).
Applications for this funding round are open to academic and clinical institutions based in the North West of England and North Wales. In making their applications, researchers should consider the relevance of their application to the people of the North West of England and North Wales and provide a clear rationale for why this funding will make a key difference to institutions in the area and the people of the area. They should also consider how the structures put in place will endure beyond the end of the initial funding period.
Applications must be submitted in line with the call guidance and appendix A, if required.
All applications will undergo rigorous external peer and scientific review and a panel will be put in place which is appropriate to the applications received. Details of this will be made available in the coming months and will be provided to applicants.
