Supporters of Southport fundraising committee came together in May for a special Ladies’ Luncheon at Hesketh Golf Club, the oldest club in Southport, raising £546.
Guests were treated to a glass of fizz on arrival and indulged in a two-course lunch of salmon and a lemon roulade, followed by a raffle and talk from guest speaker Jean Ellis.
Jean spoke about her journey to becoming a bespoke hat maker and gave pointers on what fashions to wear certain hats with.
Olive Cutts, Chair of Southport Committee, said: “We had such a wonderful afternoon at the Ladies’ Luncheon raising funds for such a worthwhile cause. We thoroughly enjoyed Jean’s talk about her profession and how to best style our hats, and as always the food and the company were fabulous!”
