Scientific Symposium 2024
The new, revamped North West Cancer Research Scientific Symposium has returned for another annual outing, this time being held at the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre at Liverpool University.
Over 150 people attended, from academic and clinical staff, post doc and post grad to Charity staff and supporters. Throughout the day, seventeen professors, doctors and clinicians from institutions across the region gave in-depth insights into their projects including exciting updates and breakthroughs.
Also joining the cohort for the day was Steve Bland, husband of the late BBC journalist and broadcaster Rachael Bland, who spoke about how his wife tackled her journey with cancer.
An awards ceremony was held to round off the day, with winners of poster and speed talk competitions awarded by Charity CEO, Alastair Richards.
