OUTREACH WITH CRAWFORD CUBS

North West Cancer Research staff recently visited Crawford Village Cubs Group for an educational session on healthy eating.

Charity staff member Tess gave a talk on the importance of making healthy choices, from what we eat to exercise, brushing our teeth and even looking after our mental health.

The Cubs then took part in a hands on activity, recreating the digestive system and making ‘poo’ using digestive biscuits, bananas and orange juice to demonstrate how our bodies keep nutrients and dispose of waste.

We’re often out and about at schools, scouts and cubs groups with our educational outreach sessions. If you know a group that would like to get involved, email [email protected]
