JEREMY AND MATT’S HALF MARATHON

Two occupational therapists from Lancaster have taken on the Lancaster Half Marathon in November, raising over £1,200 toward vital cancer research.

Jeremy Wilkinson and Matt St John met many years ago working for the NHS and believe doing activities that you enjoy has a positive impact on your health and wellbeing.

They said: “We’ve walked and run a lot over our lives, last March we decided to run some more, and once we ran regularly, it seemed inevitable that we’d set ourselves up for a challenge! The next step (pun intended) was to run a half marathon.

“The conditions on the day were perfect, clear skies and no wind, what’s more no rain! We would just like to say a big thank you to all the people, whom we didn’t know, that cheered and clapped us on, during the run. It meant a lot and gives you that little bit more energy to keep going.

Finally to all those donors, work colleagues, friends and family that have generously donated, thank you for your kindness and belief in us that we could do it, truly inspiring, we thank you all!”
