Murder Mystery in Mold

Mold Committee have shaken up their events calendar for the year, with an exciting new Murder Mystery Evening.

Mold Murder Mystery Guests

The popular event, which took place at the end of 2022, welcomed eighty guests to Mold Rugby Club for a night of dramatic thrills and fundraising. Participants and Committee members alike got in the full spirit of things with period costumes.

Drama group, Bear Company, hosted the interactive show, which was based in 1947 and split into two halves with a shocking reveal after the interval. During the interval, guests voted for the guilty participant of the mysterious murder, while Committee members served a hot pot supper and drew a raffle.

The team who correctly guessed the winner left with a collection of wines, donated by McLintocks Accountants – a local firm with Wirral, Chester and Wrexham offices.

Sharon Knott, Chair of Mold Committee, said: “We had a fabulous evening with our Murder Mystery Night. It was such a fun evening, watching a fantastic show and trying to guess who was guilty! It was lovely to see so many people getting into the spirit of the evening with their 40s inspired dress and great to hear from everyone in attendance that they had a brilliant time.

“The event was a great success and we raised £1,780 toward life-saving research. A huge thank you to all involved in the planning and running of the event and everyone who attended!”
