Wrexham fundraising Committee celebrated the lifting of lockdown restrictions with a fundraising Afternoon Tea event, held in conjunction with Llangollen Operatic Society.
The members of the society came together for an afternoon of tea, coffee and delicious cake, along with family and friends, to raise as much as possible for several causes close to their hearts.
The group held a raffle, tombola, lottery tree and ‘guess the cake weight’ game at the event, raising over £1,050 for local causes, including North West Cancer Research.
Pamela Williams of the Llangollen Operatic Society said: “It was great to get back together with family, friends and the community again and raise some much-needed funds for our amazing charities. The event was a great success and so much fun and we wish to say a huge thank you to not only everyone who came but every person that donated cakes, raffle prizes or their time.”
