COFFEE MORNING COMEBACK

Now that lockdown restrictions have lifted and normailty is on the horizon, our Committees and fundraising groups have got back to organising events, starting with everyone’s favourite - the coffee morning!

Frodsham Committee are quite literally back in the swing of things with their latest coffee morning. Hosted by Committee Member, Michelle Heyes, friends, family and neighbours of the Committee congregated on Michelle’s drive for the covid-safe event. Guests enjoyed a spot of outdoor, stand-up yoga, homemade coffee and cake, a raffle and a treasure hunt for the kids.

Not too far away, South Cheshire Committee have hosted their first coffee morning of the year at the home of Committee Member, Michelle Clarke, this September. Family and friends were invited to come together once again for a cup of tea, homemade biscuits and a chat in the name of fundraising, while local business, Wild Life by Mouse, set up a stall, selling their wildlife and botanical prints, as did Sarah’s Finishing Touch, with their lampshades and cushions. The Committee decided it was never too early to start Christmas prep and offered North West Cancer Research Christmas cards for sale, too.

Most recently, fundraising groups across Lancashire and Cumbria have come together for a social coffee morning hosted by Charlotte, Community Fundraiser for Lancashire and Cumbria. Guests were invited to join the Charity team for coffee and cake, take a look around the Health Innovation Campus – North West Cancer Research’s new Lancashire base, and hear from Lancaster University researchers about their exciting projects, funded by the Charity.
