Aughton Rings in Autumn
Aughton Committee has said goodbye to summer and rung in the autumn months with a spectacular fundraising evening.
The Committee welcomed friends, family and members of the local community for a night of entertainment to raise funds for vital cancer research projects at local universities.
Local band, Treble T, and singer, Polly Douglas, delighted guests with covers of popular classics, along with some cabaret numbers.
Sestinas Dance Troup and Committee Chair Anne performed a special set of Turkish Dancing, before a local U3A drama group performed two sketches.
Spirits were high and Charity fundraiser Mark even regaled the audience with a song or two while they enjoyed a drink.
The Committee held a raffle to round off the event, raising an amazing £2,000 and partying into the night.
