Heswall Golf Club
Hope Bear took a special visit to Heswall Golf Club in early April for a special cheque presentation with the male and female team captains, Shaun and Christina.
The captains both chose North West Cancer Research as their Charity of the Year, starting in 2022.
The duo held a number of raffles, including golf vouchers with the chance to play some prestigious courses, while the Ladies’ team received some generous donations from local businesses. The Men’s team also paid to wear their favourite football shirt for one of the golf competitions, instead of their usual polo shirts.
Christina said: “Cancer has had an impact on both of us, as it has done to so many others. We felt that a local charity trying to help cancer rates in our region was the best choice and we knew our teams and golf friends would get behind the cause too.”
