Festive ‘Concert for a Cure’ to support Liverpool’s fight against cancer

North West Cancer Research will bring its Christmas ‘Concert for a Cure’ back for a third year.

The carol service will turn Lutyens Crypt in Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral into a festive wonderland that will deliver a message of hope to those who have been affected by cancer.

On Sunday 10th December, Birkenhead Operatic Society Trust (BOST) will lead the carols at the event which will inspire and unite people from all over the region in song.

A poet and teacher from North Wales has embodied his latest work, by running a 10k race in nothing but a pair of witch’s knickers to raise additional funds for North West Cancer Research.

JWT Commercial has raised £4,830 to support our life-saving cancer research.

The Bootle-based firm encouraged 16 businesses to pledge a minimum donation of £250 to charity North West Cancer Research in exchange for their logo on a special charity-truck.

North West Cancer Research has announced that it will provide an additional £454,000 worth of funding as part of its latest drive to boost life-saving cancer research at Lancaster University.
